Length: 5K (3.1 Mile) Run and Walk

Location: Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County

935 Farm Road

(Farm Rd at Mullins Station near Shelby Farms)

Race results/timing: Accurate timing and race results will be provided by the Memphis Runners Track Club.

The Fast and the Furriest 5K Run and Walk is a 3.1 mile run/walk event which will take place on a new course in Memphis TN to benefit the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County.

This event features a scenic flat course in the area around the Humane Society friendly for running, walking, and strollers. You'll even have a chance to use the brand new Greenline path during the event!!

Feel free to bring your pet as well but please be kind and clean up after your furry friend if necessary and please plan to start at the rear of the pack to allow our competitive runners a chance to compete with no distractions.

Join us for a fun post-race celebration that the entire family can enjoy either listening to the sounds of The Memphis Snake Doctors or playing with some of the best dogs and cats that desperately need new forever homes. Warning - we cannot promise that you won't totally fall in love with one of our sweet babies and feel a need to add a member to the family!!

Food, beverages, door-prizes, and other goodies are available to all participants.

Race packets including t-shirts may be picked up on Friday October 14th at the Humane Society between the hours of 10:00am and 6:00pm.

**Those with pets will be asked to begin in the rear of the pack to allow our competitive runners a chance to compete with no distractions. Thanks for understanding!!
